Recycling Advent Calendars

Once the kids have demolished the chocolate (probably by day 5) they can easily be taken apart, the outer cardboard sleeve with the windows in can be treated as cardboard – recycled in most places and in most kerbside collections.

If you can peel any foil covering off and scrunch into a ball many household collections now accept foil for recycling. Treat the inside plastic tray bit as a plastic tray - many collections now accept these at home.
