Recycling Christmas Lights

You’ve spent hours trying to find which bulb has gone in those old Christmas lights (500 tonnes are thrown out each year!) and given up hope? – they can be recycled with your other WEEE (Electrical stuff) – usually at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre, but sometimes with your household collection. The newer LED Christmas lights are also classed as WEEE.
