Make your own Recycled Wrapping Paper
Don’t want to justify the eco and monetary cost of the miles of wrapping paper that only gets ripped apart and discarded at the earliest opportunity then try using different kinds of paper - old maps or sheet music make excellent and very interesting alternatives.
You can easily and very cheaply jazz these up even more with stencils or prints using your fingers or a potato cut into a Christmas Shape - the result of the colour on the black and white paper is fantastic!
